Photography, as means of vision and expression, allows me to express my own interpretation of the life surrounding me. For me, photography is also a journey of self-discovery, and it is an experiential way of life. Observation of the world how I see and illustrate through the camera and record the moment of my emotion
is a process that I aim to engage viewers' in a visual journey in which I'd like them to feel the moment of shared
emotion and experience.

"forgotten" is about places that we pass by every day, but don't get much attention because it doesn't look to be glamorous. As I passed by, I noticed they also have very unique its own beauty and intriguing look. I could almost
hear in quiet whisper, asking for attention, wanting to be noticed, and loved.

"han" is described as complex feeling of Koreans, which is embedded in their souls over thousands of years. It is Sadness, sense of bitterness, deep sorrow and yet, there is a still hope. "han" series is describing this mystery of
soul by traditional Koran dance performance and character.

"through" is abstract images, which was composite with paper on black background. Interaction of these
two elements coexist each other to give balance and harmony. The theme of "through" is from influence of Asian calligraphy where style of writing creates visual effect. Endless movement of lines and strength on the script
through space conveys the state of Zen.

"silent dream" is botanical images of fragile and delicate beauty that was hidden in another layer of harshness.

"around the corner, where the life of uncertainty is"
Life is like a performance in a play without written script. It is unpredictable regardless how well we plan it to be,
and it becomes the battle to survive rather than enjoying. It comes and goes over and over, and every day
it will have different script plays out. These images represent right before that moment of the story begins in
another day. It is pausing moment and ready to be carried out in different places. The door, wall, and window are
layers, like stage curtain. Behind of the layers, there are many stories to be played, and when the door open,
there will be performances of life: the battle and uncertainty. Every one of them will be different, and that is
what makes life interesting, surprising and complicated.

"georgia: the land of soul"
Farming is a way of life, and land is a place where its life is carried out. It requires extremely hard,
physically demanding, and long hours of working. It is also needed patience. First look of farmland may not seem
to be very attractive. Plain, dry and without crops, it has almost emptiness to it. But then, there is also mysteriously
tranquil and romantic attractiveness that draw my attention. It has quiet way of showing its hidden emotion and personality in which I find my own peace in the moment of its expression.

"echoes of shadow"
is voice of isolated outsiders who are separated and not accepted from others, regardless of how hard they try
to be communicated. It is conjunction of "forgotten" , and in the project, I wanted express soundless voice of being maginalized in society. People and places that are unnoticed(because we choose not to pay attention, and make
an assumtion that they are such insignificant) have also story to tell which can be just as beautiful and apealing as
any others.

"35th days in september" is about reflection of ordinary moments in our daily lives. Life is repetition of every day
routine, and we are not fully pay attention to those repetitive moments passing by. The whole cycle may not seem
to be particularly important or meaningful. But these moments are also essential and unique elements of structure
and sequence of our lives. The project "35th..." illustrates those ordinary moments that we pass by to portray
regardless how insignificant it seems, every moment can be special in own way if we choose it to be. Life is full of
ordinary moments in which we enjoy and cherish, and it could be also very precious time of our lives whether
we realize it or not.
